And Another One!

I caved, again.....

This is a 16-block mystery quilt designed by Leanne Beasley, designer of among others Leanne's House, another stitchery project I'm working on.

Several blocks are published in each issue of Vignette, a new magazine which is published by Leanne.

I started block 1 a few days back and it is so much fun to work on.

If you are interested in seeing other versions of this quilt, have a look at the special blog for this project:

WOW & New Start & Flowers

Here is my new start: Christmas Fun by Lynette Anderson, a button BOM. The button comes with a very cute pattern.

I'm showing this start for WOW: WIP's on Wednesday, organised by Esther Aliu, designer of Heart's Desire. The link to her blog is in my sidebar.

The petunia hanging basked has become a standing basket, on a metal vase which stands on a pillar in our garden:

(I didn't have time to dead-head the plant before taking the picture, oops).

Our white hydrangeas are now also in flower:

And these beautiful mauve flowers are called Balloon Flowers (ballonklokje in Dutch). You can see why in the second picture (bottom left)

I'm also working on something else, but I will keep that to show you next time I post on my blog.

Thanks for all your lovely comments.

Heart's Desire: Love Entwined

At last I have the first of three block three's of Heart's Desire finished. This block is called Love Entwined. It took me a while to find the right fabrics for the leaves and I chose to do the stitchery in satin stitches, which seemed to take forever, but which looks rather gorgeous.

Here are a few details of block 3:

On Tuesday postie brought part 3 of Christmas Fun. Part 2 is still lost in the post and will be replaced soon.

This is Lynette Anderson's version of Christmas Fun #3. I absolutely love this block. A while back I showed you the fabrics I will be using for this project. I'm hoping to start soon, alternating this project with Heart's Desire.

These are the fabrics which I picked up last week. They are for the first block of Vintage Christmas by Bunny Hill Designs. I joined this BOM which Samsara Quilting is running at the moment.

Thanks for all your lovely comments and a warm welcome to all the people who recently became a follower of my blog.
