Antique Wedding Sampler Progress

For now, my focus project is Antique Wedding Sampler by Di Ford. Notice that I wrote 'for now' because I'm not really a one-project-stitcher as you may have noticed ;o)
Op dit moment is het project waar ik me op richt de Antique Wedding Sampler van Di Ford. Ik schrijf bewust 'op dit moment' want ik ben niet echt iemand die maar aan één project werkt, zoals je waarschijnlijk wel is opgevallen ;o)

But I did make some progress, working on different blocks.
At the moment I'm in the process of adding the broderie perse to three blocks, so that they are finally done.
Maar ik heb wel wat vooruitgang geboekt, werkend aan verschillende blokken.
En nu voeg ik de broderie perse bloemen toe aan de drie blokken, zodat ze eindelijk af zullen komen.  

First, this is block 6, which I completed last night.
Allereerst is hier blok 6, dat ik gisteravond afgemaakt heb. 

Next I am working on block 20 (as usual I am doing the blocks in random order) which still needs the broderie perse flower appliqued.
En ik werk ook aan blok 20 (zoals altijd doe ik de blokken in willekeurige volgorde) waarvan de broderie perse bloem nog moet worden geappliqueerd. 

I had to add a baste line to make sure the four leaves in the corners were positioned correctly.
Unfortunately there are no total layout drawings of the block in the book, just the templates and sometimes parts of the blocks. 
Ik heb even een rijgdraad door de omtrek gehaald, om zeker te weten dat de vier blaadjes in de hoeken op de juiste plek zaten. Helaas zijn er van dit project geen hele afbeeldingen van de blokken, alleen maar onderdeeltjes of soms een stuk van het blok. 

And today I am working on the 'flower arranging' of block 7, the vase block.
En vandaan ben ik aan het 'bloemschikken' op blok 7, het blok met de vaas. 

I will probably need to remove some of the 'buds' to make my flower fabric work.
Ik ga waarschijnlijk wat van de knoppen eraf halen om het geheel kloppend te krijgen. 


A week or so ago, I had an interesting encounter with a damselfly. I was taking a picture of some other creature....
Een week of wat geleden had ik een interessante ontmoeting met een houtpantserjuffer. Ik maakte een foto van een ander beestje....

....when the damselfly came and sat on my hand. Not sure if she was attracted by the metal shine of the camera, but she sat there patiently whilst I took the above picture, with that same hand.
... toen de houtpantserjuffer op mijn hand kwam zitten. Ik weet niet of ze werd aangetrokken door het glimmende metaal van de camera, maar ze zat daar geduldig tot ik de bovenstaande foto had gemaakt, met dezelfde hand. 

And then she posed for me...
En toen poseerde ze voor me...
