Stonefields Progress

I'm a bit 'stuck' with Antique Wedding Sampler (not sure where my current block is going) so I worked on Stonefields for a few days. Often when I take some time away from a project, it all falls into place.

First I stitched two more Hankerchief blocks
Eerst maakte ik twee "Hankerchief" blokjes

Stonefields 58: The Hankerchief II

Stonefields 59: The Hankerchief III

Stonefields 58: Strasbourg Station I

Stonefields 59: Strasbourg Station II, replacing the 'cross' with a sweet image
Het middenstukje vervangen door een lieve afbeelding

I need two more of these blocks.

Then part 6 arrived, and I stitched the first of three "The Perfection Syndrome" blocks (#63.

Can you tell I cannot wait for Spring to arrive?

Kruimel (Dutch for 'crumb) was being his cute self, asleep in Luna's pink basket. Quite becoming, don't you think?

This is the Antique Wedding Sampler block I'm struggling with, number 14. Not sure I'm happy with the colours and patterns. There is something not quite right.

So I'm letting it simmer for a bit.
Dus laat ik het een tijdje sudderen.

I like your block and do not see what bothers you about it. For the last circles to be added in the center, I would choose a fabric with some grey (like the ouside petals) and some blue (like the blue you have in the in-between brown points). It s abeautiful block and it is perfectly executed.

Interesting to see the fabrics you are using in the Stonefields blocks. So many interesting prints.

Dear Anne Marieke,
I believe the Antik Wedding Sampler block looks just right, nice fussy cutting, I like it. Let it sit, it's not like you have no other project to play with. Love your Stonefields blocks. I am fiddeling around with them at the moment as well. We will have show day on the 15th of March.
Greetings,
Sylvia

Mooie plaatjes.

I completely understand your struggle with Block #14, I had a similar problem in that I just couldn't seem to get the right fabric combination. I finished it but I'm still not that happy with it. I think yours looks beautiful! Love your use of the stripes in the Stonefields blocks.
