Needlecraft Show Arnhem

Last Friday my Mum and I visited the Needlecraft Show in Arnhem. Apart from lots of booths with stitching goodies, there were also some quilts on show.

I cannot give the makers their deserved credit, as there was no information on who made these quilts. Edit: I have since found some information on some of the works of art.

This quilt was designed, pieced and longarm quilted by Elly Prins.

Apart from quilts there were also a few needlefelting pieces on show.

And there was a small exhibition of samplers by Jan Houtman.

Oh no........ my Mummy has bought even MORE Japanese fabrics! I can't bear to see them anymore!

I wasn't too naughty, honest, but I found a few bits and pieces for my Floral Bouquet Quilt.

Next time I will show you my progress on said quilt. I'm currently working on block 4 and making good progress. I always end up changing my first choices for elements of the blocks, and although this slows me down, I need to be happy with each element of each block.

More Fernhill Progress

Part 8 of Fernhill is finished and now I need to wait a few weeks for the last part to arrive so I can complete it.

The sweet little owl and the yoyo's.

Het schattige uiltje en de yoyo's.

The tiny mouse button for part 8.

Het kleine muisje dat bij deel 8 hoort.

These Button Club projects by Lynette Anderson are so much fun to stitch. I cannot wait to see what Lynette comes up with for next year.

Floral Bouquet Quilt Progres

Block 2 of Floral Bouquet Quilt by Yoko Saito is finished. I'm very happy with this block.
The next block I will be working on is block 4. I have the pieces all prepared and started doing the applique, but the background fabric is not really working for me. So I need to find something that will work before I continue.

I couldn't have done it with my little helper.

Het was niet gelukt zonder mijn hulpje.
Yesterday evening I started working on part 8 of Fernhill by Lynette Anderson. This cute owl is part of this block.

I have also started knitting a sweater. It is fun to knit, because the top half including the sleeves are knitted from left to right, and then the bottom halves are added. I chose the same wool as the one used in the pattern. It is 50 % Yak (yes, really!) and 50% merino. The colour is called Jeans.

Thank you for your lovely comments and welcome to my new followers.
