A Few Little Blocks

Since I told you about 'The Biggest WIP of Our Lives" in my previous post, we have been very busy packing and doing DIY to get the house ready for sale.

In this picture which I took on Saturday, Kruimel expresses how I feel after another day of sorting and packing :)

I have done very little stitching, but managed a few blocks from the ones I had prepared for Scotland. And I'm still working on those. Thank goodness I had so much prepared.

First these two Stonefields blocks:
Eerst maakte ik deze twee Stonefields-blokjes:

No. 78 - Pyjama Party

And no. 80 Neil's Dairy

And the day before yesterday I finished block A2 of Dear Jane:

The cream fabric with pink flowers is one of Mum's, which she gave me a while back.
40 little pieces in a 4 inch block! Very fiddly, but so much fun to make.
I have 32 blocks completed for Dear Jane, of 169.

It was exactly 100 days until we officially own the new house. In exchange for two signatures (and some money ;) ) we will become the owners of our dream home. We are hoping to sell our current home before then.

And on June 20th, Elvis celebrated his 10th birthday. We don't know exactly when he was born. A date was chosen for him by the vet, who checked him over just after we got him from the shelter at about 12 weeks old.

This photograph is not very sharp, but he looks adorable in it. A few days after he arrived home.

Back soon with news of my projects, I hope!

Dear Anne Marieke,
good to read that everything has worked out for you. How exciting for you to move to your dream home.
Your Stonefields blocks look gorgeous. I am just about ready to work on the exact same blocks, funny.
Greetings,
Sylvia

I'm enjoying following your progress on the Stonefields quilt, so pretty. I'm also piecing a Jane but I'm in the home stretch. I hope to finish the right side border triangles this week then I have the bottom border and the corner kits blocks. I sure hope the border fit on the center! Packing for a move can be tiring and I hope your house sells fast.

Hi Anne Marieke, I have missed you but I know you've been busy with this new special adventure in your life - I just adore that pic of Kruimel, I often feel like that myself!

I love your blocks, the fussy cutting is exquisite!

You WILL sell your home before then, I'm sure it will all fall into place as it's meant to be.

Soe hilft wohl schwer :)
Liebe Grüße Marika
