Since I keep promising to show you my first block of In My Garden, by Hatched & Patched, I thought I would post an 'in progress' picture, because even though this block looks nearly done, it honestly isn't!For the life of me I cannot figure out a way to make these blocks line up properly. This is one of those patterns where you cut squares in half to make the triangles around the left-hand side blocks, where you are supposed to make long strips of different fabrics and cut them to size to fit around and next to the blocks. There are very few exact measurements and I must admit that even though I was really looking forward to stitching this project, it is very slowly but surely driving me around the bend.
What I need is the advice of a more experienced quilter and that will happen over the weekend. I'm sure my Mum will be able to sort this problem out.
And on that frustrated note I'm off to play with my furry friend Henrietta and her little baby: block 5 of Henrietta Whiskers, the free BOM by Bunny Hill Designs.

Gelukkig, dat je moeder je kan helpen. Ik hou ook niet zo van dat soort maten. Maar het is wel een prachtig blok, wat een kleuren!
En nu maar even lekker verder met wat "makkelijks", Dat is fijn als je met verschillende dingen bezig bent.

Ik vind het er prachtig uit zien maar kan me heel goed voorstellen dat als niet helemaal past zoals het hoort dat je daar op een gegeven moment gek van wordt.
Ik ben benieuwd naar je volgende update van Henrietta, succes daar mee.

Looking good to me...but then again, I'm not an experienced quilter. Hope your mum can sort it all out. It will look great...because it looks great now already and only become better isn't it?
It looks gorgeous to my inexperienced eye - the colours are so pretty.
AnneMarieke lijkt me een beetje frustrerend als blijkt dat het niet precies past. Wat een geluk dat je bij je moeder om raad kan. Doe maar intussen een lekker relaxed karweitje. Het zijn wel prachtige kleuren zeg.
